The Moons live at the Georgian Theatre Stockton 28th March 2014

With the dust only just settling from The Spitfires gig at Doc Browns in February, the excitement is now mounting for The Moons gig at the Georgian Theatre this Friday! Grass Routes once again have pulled out another magic gig from under their sleeve. Diz and Leon are busy working behind the scenes to make 2014 a huge year for Grass Routes and only three months into the year many quality artists are being bagged for both '4Play' and their new night on a Friday at the Princess Alice 'Route 69'.
The Teesside music scene is booming at the moment, and a Boro lad like myself is reveling in the opportunity to go to, and promote all of these tidy gigs! So back to The Moons. Well a band that has gained a real following by both Mods and muso's alike in recent years! With celebrity faces such as Mr Weller, Mr Wiggo and many others all digging The Moons they are definitely one to watch! The debut album, 'Life on Earth' has some quality sounds on it and was critically acclaimed by Mr Weller himself. Their 2012 follow up 'Fables of History' was as equally ear pleasing as the debut and showed a clear musical progression in Andy's writing. 2014 sees the Moons tour the UK again and Fridays stop is Stockton! This is a gig that's bound to sell out so I'd suggest getting your tickets as soon as possible! The support for Friday is also outsanding! Our very own Alistair Sheerin will be making an explosive appearance, and for those who have seen him before I'm sure you'll know what I'm on about. Glass Moths make up the other support slot and they have some really great sounds to share!
The Moons are moving from strength to strength and 2014 is set to be another great year for the band. With their third album (Mindwaves) all ready and recorded, it's now the time for The Moons to get their live shows rolling again. The third album will be released on 21st July 2014. Their new single 'Heart and Soul' is available as of 31st March, and a very limited selection of the single will be on sale at the up and coming gigs on a first come first served basis. 'Heart and Soul' is the first single from the bands forthcoming LP and will be released on Limited edition 7" vinyl and download.
This gig is set to be quality and with Diz DJ'ing in between bands you'll never stop hearing great music for the entirety of the night! So Friday 28th March, be there, be sharp!
