'For The Love Of Mod' an Emma-Rosa Dias Afro-Mic Production.

Once again Emma-Rosa Dias has produced a superb piece of film. 'For The Love Of Mod London' takes you on a journey to the city where our Sub-Culture began - London. Emma speaks to some of the most influential and coolest cats on the scene today.
With the Sub-Cultures origins in the Sixties to it's Modern day image, For The Love Of Mod talks you through every stepping stone the scene has taken to gain it's present form. With Emma speaking to people of all ages its clear to see here, why the scene is still going from strength to strength and will continue to do so. I for one am incredibly proud to say I am a part of the Mod scene, and thrilled many people my age and younger are still pushing this scene forward in new exciting directions, whilst keeping those original foundations. This film allows the viewer to see the many different ways people enter the scene and how it changes their lives. Its great to see the genuine passion Emma has for the scene and in making these films. A wider audience needs to see just how unique and special our scene is and Afro-Mic Productions are doing just that! Emma chats with the likes of Eddie Piller and Nick Robins (Head of the Bar Italia Scooter Club) this gives For The Love Of Mod it's flavour and keeps the viewer well sussed on the current state of the scene.
Just like 'Faces In The Crowd' For The Love Of Mod's soundtrack is sublime, and keeps the viewer bouncing along to the beat. Along with music comes the clothing. Expect to see a great variety of top-notch clobber throughout this film, I myself saw many items that I will now have to acquire! It's great to see the diverse range of people involved in the scene and how they have added their own ideas and mindset and their own version of Modernism to the scene. For The Love Of Mod harks back to the late 50's when the scene was in it's origins to the present day, where the scene is filled with a variety of different musical genre's, looks and ideas. For The Love Of Mod really sums up the scene and definitely allows the viewer to see how and why it's still going strong to this day. Emma captures the 2014 Mod Scene perfectly and this is certainly an essential DVD for every Mods shelf. I am now really excited to see what Emma brings us next, her passion and excitement towards the scene is second to none and I am eagerly awaiting her next release. For now I will be watching back both, 'Faces In the Crowd' and 'For The Love Of Mod' whenever I am in need of some Modernism filled media. Emma is definitely one to watch, and her next release will be outstanding I have no doubt!
