A Year In The Life Of Move On Up...

Well it's been over a year since myself and Graham set up Move On Up and we are still going strong with loads to come for the remainder of 2014. I'm so pleased to be sat here saying we've been around for over a year and have had an amazing response from people all over the world, both from the mod scene and other scenes! It's great to know we are one of the many mod blogs around, and provide readers with all the latest goings on from the world of clothing, music and style. We want 2015 to be an even bigger year for the blog.

I didn't want this piece to sound like a daft Oscar award winning speech but there's many thank-yous that need to be said! We couldn't have got this far without all the lovely friends we have gotten to know along the way! The people behind the clothes we dig, the people behind the films we watch, the people behind the music we love and the people who have shared us across the web and spread the Move On Up word. It's been an absolute pleasure to write for this blog and although I haven't managed to get an article out every week (which was my initial aim) I've still managed to balance my Uni work with it and get big pieces out!

So onto the thank you's if I forget anyone I am sorry and will make amends! Firstly I'd like to thank one of my oldest mates and the guy behind the scenes at Move On Up. A real unsung hero who without him, the blog wouldn't even exist! So thanks Graham mate, I owe you a pint! Thanks to my Dad who's been digging this blog since day one, he's one of the coolest mods around and after all got me into all this! Big thanks to the rest of my family and friends for sharing the page and spreading the word. A massive thank you to Emma-Rosa Dias and all the team at Afro-Mic Productions for allowing us to review their two releases from this year! Cracking films! They turned a lot of people onto the blog!

Thanks to Darron J Connet for the interview and his continued support. Thanks to Billy Sullivan and the rest of the Spitfires for allowing us to promote their gigs up in the Boro and for their continued support! Thanks to Stu Deabill for his superb advice and support of the blog and for turning more people onto it! Huge thanks to my good mates Leon and Diz, although Grass Routes gigs are coming to a close they have been very supportive of the blog and were the main people responsible for organising our class charity night which raised £400 for the chosen charities!
Thanks to the lovely Lou Baxter for allowing us to review a beautiful scarf from Nicholson and Walcot! Cheers to all the guys from David Watts thanks for letting us review your quality clobber. Thanks to Alex and Simon from Art Gallery Clothing for allowing us to review the jumper and for being firm believer in the blog from day one.

Thanks to Andy Lewis for the quality interview, what a read! Big shout out to Daniel Ash and Georgie Brown for the interviews, there's big things to come from their bands! Massive thanks to Peter Challis and all of the team at Delicious Junction, you make superb shoes! Cheers to Mark Simpson and Kev both top mods who were with us at Move On Up from the start! Thanks to all the Twitter Mods (you know who you are) for digging the blog and sharing it! Mark Baxter, I can't thank you enough mate, without you the blog wouldn't be where it is today! Thanks for all the advice and ideas!

So that's that, as i said if I've forgot to mention you I am very sorry, you've all played a part in putting Move On Up on the Mod map! Keep reading and Keep The Faith!
