Nicholson and Walcot

Scarves have always been an essential item in a Modernists Wardrobe. From Tootal to Sammy to even Pretty Green in recent times scarves add that extra bit of detail to an outfit that everyone needs. I tend to wear a scarf with a plain top so that it doesn't clash and take attention away from the scarf. Now bespoke clothing is something again which is very closely linked with the Mod Scene and bespoke scarves are hard to come by at a good price and quality! Louise Baxter has broken the mold in this field with her company 'Nicholson and Walcot'. Nicholson and Walcot are the finest purveyors of handmade scarves and accessories based in South London. Louise is extremely skilled at what she does and the scarves are the best on the market and hold their own against the likes of Tootal and Sammy.
You can choose from a variety of design available on their new and improved Website (http://nicholsonandwalcot.co.uk/) and you can also ask for a different hem/ design depending on the availability.

This brings me to my latest pick up from Nicholson and Walcot. I've gone for the 'Navy & White Large Spot Scarf with Slant Hem'. I've paired it with a Navy Blue Cable Knit jumper to give it a simple backdrop and make the scarf stand out. The slant hem is a great take on a classic scarf adding that Modernist element to an essential piece. The large Polka Dot design is a real standout feature of this piece and I haven't seen a design like it by any other designer. Made of 100% cotton the scarf has that quality feel you'd expect from a bespoke piece of clothing and will last a lifetime of wear. Like all good scarves the Nicholson & Walcot tab is sown neatly to the inside showing the brands logo. It really does set you apart this piece, and turns a few heads in the boozer. I wore it to a gig recently and many came and asked where it was from, I duly pointed them in the right direction of N & W. The future in neckwear for sure, get on board people.

Nicholson and Walcot are raising the bar and are the future of scarves and accessories alike! Get yours here: Nicholson and Walcot
